The single direction precision - 60° ball screw support bearings absorb axial forces only in the direction in which the rolling elements between the high ribs of the inner and outer ring are subjected to pressure. In most cases, these rolling bearings are placed against each other in pairs. Typical application is the bearing of a ball screw (KGT). The precision 60° ball screw support bearings are universally ground.
They can be arranged individually per bearing position or as factory assembled rolling bearing sets in any set arrangement. As sets assembled in the factory, they have a general Vee marking over the entire set of angular contact ball bearings on the outer rings.
Major advantages are the ease of assembly, the long service life without maintenance, the possibility of lifetime grease lubrication and circulating oil lubrication. The advantages for customers are the high positioning accuracy, low energy consumption during operation and safe operation at high accelerations and speeds of the ball screw (KGT). For further speed increase, the use of ceramic rolling elements or the coating of the rolling bearing rings with ATC thin chromium coating is also possible. In addition to the open precision 60° ball screw support bearings, designs sealed on both sides are also offered. They ensure high operational reliability even in difficult environments.

Applications
If you want a state-of-the-art product for machine tools in terms of precision, dynamics, rigidity and cost awareness, you should use ball screws. To absorb axial forces, many manufacturers rely on impact bearing units from IBC, which are available for a wide range of shaft diameters and preload classes.
Usually fitted with two or four 60° axial angular contact ball bearings, they are clamped in an O arrangement via a central precision nut. In the case of pillow block units of type BSPB-M, the locknut is supplied with an integrated labyrinth seal. Thanks to high-precision manufactured housings, alignment and mounting are also considerably facilitated.
