IBC Special bearings
Depending on the application, different bearing arrangements can be selected. Thus, different influencing factors such as temperature, lubrication, speed, load carrying capacity, humidity, vibration, installation geometry, maintenance, etc. must always be considered. Special bearings are used for exceptional requirements, which makes them particularly suitable for certain bearing applications. Only high-performance and reliable rolling bearings with a long service life are able to ensure the functionality and operational safety of these machines, systems and units without problems over long periods.
For all above mentioned designs - angular contact ball bearings, deep groove ball bearings, self-aligning ball bearings, axial deep groove ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, tapered roller bearings, spherical roller bearings as well as needle roller bearings - IBC manufactures bearings for special applications in special designs. This refers both to the external dimensions, which may not correspond to the ISO-DIN dimensional plans, and also to special internal designs.
Use in vibration machines
IBC produces special forms of spherical roller bearings in special design (vibrating screen bearings) for use in vibration machines. They correspond in their dimensions and bearing data with the spherical roller bearings of the series 223. . They differ from the standard bearings by having a solid brass cage guided in the outer ring and by the internal clearance adjusted to the operating conditions of screening machines, which is in the range of the upper half of C3 and the lower half of C4.
IBC shaker screen bearings are manufactured with cylindrical as well as tapered bore. They are identified by the suffix V080.
Use in pumps, compressors, fans and separators
Pumps move liquids of many different types. From oil, water and fuel to concrete, acid and sewage. Used in almost all industries, including food processing, vacuum technology, construction, irrigation and drainage, chemical industry, mining and hydraulics.
Especially the application in pumps and compressors causes combined loads at high speeds under unfavourable lubrication conditions and often heavy contamination in the rolling bearings used there. Double row angular contact ball bearings are used in almost all types of pumps. IBC angular contact ball bearings are characterized by quiet running, low friction, high speeds and long service life. Since even purely radial loads in the bearing cause an axial force, it is necessary to compensate for this with another bearing. For this purpose, two angular contact ball bearings are usually adjusted against each other. In addition to double row angular contact ball bearings, single row angular contact ball bearings and single row cylindrical roller bearings as well as spherical roller bearingsand deep groove ball bearings are also used in pumps.
In order to better protect the bearings used under these extreme conditions against wear and corrosion and to achieve higher speeds at low working temperatures, IBC offers the coating of the bearing outer and inner rings with the ATCoat coating. In addition, the use of ceramic balls instead of steel balls is possible.
In addition to the ATCoat coating of the rolling bearing rings and the use of ceramic balls, technical plastics such as PEEK, PAI, PPS are particularly suitable for use in the vacuum pump sector and at extremely high or low temperatures. These engineering plastics can be used for high speeds or temperatures down to - 150 °C or + 200 °C through the specific use of fillers such as glass or carbon fibre or PTFE.
The PEEK cage is a glass fibre reinforced plastic cage that can be used successfully even at high speeds of up to 200 °C operating temperature.
Use in raw material extraction and processing
Technical progress is also advancing rapidly in the extraction and processing of raw materials. In mining and large-scale production plants as well as in the extraction of crude oil and natural gas, rolling bearings ensure increased performance, reliability, an increase in operational safety and even longer availability under extreme operating and environmental conditions. IBC bearings meet these requirements and are also designed for maximum load ratings, insensitivity to shocks and vibrations, and easy mounting and dismounting.
Dump trucks are used worldwide to transport ore, coal and oil sand in open-cast mines. Cylindrical roller bearingsand single-row tapered roller bearings operate in the gearboxes.
Conveyor systems are used to transport large masses in opencast mining. As a rule, spherical roller bearings operate in the driven belt drums. They are manufactured to cope with extreme loads and to compensate for misalignments and shaft deflection.
In addition to their use in machines, aggregates and plants in open-cast mining, similarly extreme conditions are encountered in underground mining, tunnel construction, onshore and offshore technology and in mills. Consequently, high demands are also placed on the rolling bearings used here. Through targeted developments, IBC has increased the functionality, operational safety, performance, reliability and service life of these rolling bearings.
Special bearings for excavators and other construction machinery are also offered in this area.
